Marching Toward a New Justice

  • Slauson & Crenshaw Los Angeles, CA, 90043 United States (map)

This Saturday marks the 58th anniversary of MLK’s March on Washington. To commemorate this, we are supporting the D.C. festivities with a sister March here in Los Angeles – Marching Toward a New Justice. This is in partnership with our coalition, Out of Many, One and will be a hybrid march (marching and car caravan).

When we come together from every zip code, background, religion, and combine our collective power, we are unstoppable. I am inviting you to please join us. We must show up.

 Details:

 DATE: Saturday, August 28

TIME: 10 am – 2 pm

WHAT: This will be a combination of a march and a car caravan so everyone who wants to participate can.

WHERE: We will meet in the Ralphs parking lot on the corner of Slauson and Crenshaw at 9:30 with materials to make signs for you and/or your vehicle. Then we will proceed down Crenshaw to Leimert Park Village

WHAT ELSE: Free vaccinations and health screenings at Leimert Park from 8 am – 2 pm

We have to keep pushing to demand our freedom to vote. As Eric Holder told me recently “The moral arc of the universe bends toward the elbow of justice; but we must bend it.”

Bring voter registration forms and let’s get voters registered.

If you would like to volunteer, please be there at 9 am.

Can I count on you to show up for our collective freedom to vote?
