The groups support Thurmond for his commitment to education and detailed strategic plan to make California’s Public Schools the best in the nation. At one time, California topped the list of rankings for schools in our nation, but now ranks 46th in per-pupil spending. Tony Thurmond has a proven track record, making education as a top priority while he served in the State Assembly.
