Get foreign money out of California elections Act.

AB 270 (Lee)

Enacts public financing of elections.

AB 1248 (Bryan)

Requires municipalities that contain over 300,000 residents to establish an independent redistricting commission.

AB 1595/ACA 4 (Bryan)

Amends the Constitution to restore the voting rights of people currently incarcerated in prison.

AB 93 (Bryan)

Bans consent searches without evidence-based justification.

AB 280 (Holden)

The California Mandela Act will provide a clear definition of what constitutes solitary confinement across California prisons, jails, and detention centers, while also setting limits on how it can be used.

AB 793 (Bonta)

Blocks law enforcement agencies from compelling tech companies to hand over the names and identities of all people whose digital data shows they’ve spent time near a CA abortion clinic or searched for information about reproductive or gender affirming care online.

AB 1089 (Gipson)

Requires anyone who uses a 3d printer to make a gun to become a state licensed manufacturer.

SB 50 (Bradford)

Limits pretextual traffic stops and lets cities use unarmed employees instead.

CLIMATE JUSTICE

AB 538 (Holden) OPPOSE

Grid regionalization would replace the state’s Independent System Operator (CAISO) with a new regional grid.

SB 48 (Becker)

Mandates uniform building performance standards for improvements in energy efficiency and reduces emissions of greenhouse gasses in large buildings across the state.

SB 49 (Becker)

Provides tax incentives for the construction of solar canopies over large parking lots.

SB 233 (Skinner)

Mandates by 1/1/2027 that all new zero-emission vehicles and electric vehicle supply equipment sold in CA have bidirectional capability.

SB 252 (Gonzalez, Stern, Wiener)

Prohibits the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) and the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) from investing in fossil fuel companies.

HEALTHCARE

AB 4 (Arambula)

Expands Covered California access to all Californians regardless of immigration status.

AB 1690 (Kalra)

Creates universal healthcare - CalCare.

SB 11 (Menjivar)

Requires California State University to have one full-time licensed mental health counselor per 1,500 students.

SB 90 (Wiener)

Caps a deductible on an insulin prescription drug or copayment at no more than $35 for a 30-day supply of an insulin.

SB 385 (Atkins)

Authorizes a physician assistant who has completed the training and achieved clinical competency to perform aspirated abortions without the personal presence of a supervising physician and surgeon.

ECONOMIC JUSTICE

AB 259/ACA 3 (Lee)

Would impose a wealth tax on annual wealth: 1% for $50MM+, and an additional .05% at $1BB+.

The Social Housing Act will utilize public financing on a sustainable basis to address the shortage of affordable homes by developing housing for people of all income levels, prioritizing low-income households.
